A renowned Swedish textile artist and designer based in Stockholm, Simon Key Bertman studied at the Konstfack School of Design and the Royal Institute of Art, graduating in 2011. Bertman has garnered attention for his groundbreaking work with patterns, textures and colors, drawing inspiration from Swedish expressionist painter Isaac Grünewald. “I am fascinated by playing with form and color to come up with a dynamic geometric pattern,” says the designer. That fascination is apparent in his Loom Throw (2014), which features a systematic pattern that at once is perfectly ordered yet can appear a bit random. Handmade from the softest cotton, Loom features a light and airy structure, with a color composition that changes depending on how you fold it. Machine washable. Made in India.
