Welcome Parsons Students

DWR: Tools for Living partners with Parsons The New School For Design to find up and coming designers. Matthew Hoey’s students in his class at The New School, Materials 2, are taught the critical importance of materials selection in an environmental age. Their assignment? Design a household object, under $100, that’s functional and beautiful.
Join us for special event to see these semester-long projects come to fruition. The students will display their product and explain why and how they designed it. Attendees at the event will review each of the designs and DWR will judge the product – there will be one “best design” from each class. The winning design will be displayed at the store. Refreshments, including wine provided by Noble House Wines, will be served.
