About the Studio

Located in the El Paseo Building, a Palm Springs historic site dating from 1926, our Palm Springs location brings the DWR Annex concept to the West Coast and to the heart of the Palm Springs Uptown Design District. Located in 7,440 square feet which once housed the El Paseo Theatre, the space contains both a DWR Studio with a selection of modern bedroom and workspace options, seating, lighting, rugs and pieces for outdoor living, all available to order, as well as the first DWR Annex in California.

An evolution of our cult classic warehouse sale, the Annex represents an assortment of returned and discontinued merchandise that changes constantly with everything as is and ready to take home immediately. Peruse and purchase pieces within our showroom and supplement your discoveries with new pieces under the friendly direction of general manager Steven Ortego and our qualified sales associates.

Modernism Week 2010
Charles Hollis Jones Lecture and Show

Saturday, February 13, 4pm

The DWR Annex is pulling out all the stops for the fifth annual Modernism Week. On Saturday, we kick it off by welcoming furniture designer Charles Hollis Jones for lively presentation on his pioneering use of acrylic and Lucite. Then, the next Friday through Sunday, in between raving about retro to fellow mid-century fans, you can shop for accessories, outdoor, dining, upholstery, classics, bedroom and more at our weekend Warehouse Sale. In celebration of our first anniversary in Palm Springs, we will be donating 5% of proceeds (up to $3,000) from the sale to Modernism Week. Design Within Reach is proud to be a gold sponsor of Modernism Week 2010.
