About the Studio

Our 3,000 square foot Providence Studio is located in the historic Downcity District, home to the city's former shopping quarter and where still reside a number of grand, turn-of-the-century department store buildings. Housed on the ground floor of the circa 1900 Wilkinson Building, the Studio picks up its architectural cues from the original occupant, a Lerner department store. Making good use of the space's lofty ceilings, wood floors and large windows is a sizable assortment of our designs for the home and work space-all ready for test driving. Studio proprietor and interior designer Michael Chmielewski oversees the studio along with his helpful and friendly staff.

Two hours of free parking is available for DWR customers at Grant's Block, on the corner of Westminster Street and Union Street. Simply park, leave your key with the valet attendant and bring your ticket to the DWR Studio for validation.

EVENTS DWR Breast Cancer Fundraiser Friday, October 9, 5:30-8:30pm Join Design Within Reach Providence and the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation (www.gloriagemma.org) as we raise awareness for breast cancer and kick off the 4th Annual "Flames of Hope" Celebration of Life weekend with good food, good wine and companionship.
