The San Francisco Studio occupies a newly renovated space at the corner of Kansas and 15th streets in the heart of the Design District. At 20,000 square feet, it’s one of the largest DWR Studios ever opened. Visitors will be greeted at the entrance by the DWR San Francisco Garden, a large installation of dozens of Arena and Thornton planters landscaped with native plants. Unique features inside include a large Light Cloud of pendant fixtures, the Design Library Swatch Wall, the Dining Test Lab for test-driving 70 iconic dining chairs, 30 full-room vignettes, outdoor and café solutions and a private meeting room for clients and their designers. Parking is available in front of the building. Proprietor Eric Hildebrandt oversees the Studio with his friendly and knowledgeable sales associates.
Bask in the rays of the Light Cloud, a super sweet lighting installation that greets visitors upon entrance to the showroom (see opening image). Lanterns, sputniks, and spherical light fixtures float overhead as guests peruse the Design Library Swatch Walls. Here, you can run your hands over the textures of 500 tiles, upholstered in fabrics and leathers available for DWR products. These mosaic walls span 60 feet of colorful textile goodness. – California Home + Design
