About the Studio
DWR stands for Design Within Reach, and we believe in making good design accessible. The DWR: Tools for Living assortment embodies this belief. The secret these items share is smart design. Each one is unique in how it solves a problem or makes something more comfortable or easier to use. In that way, they are not just objects, but more like tools.

The DWR: Tools for Living store is adjacent to Santa Monica’s DWR Studio, on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and 4th Street, where Route 66 meets the ocean. Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade is one of Southern California’s most bustling districts, the ideal setting for DWR's first cash-and-carry concept. You’ll find well-designed items for travel, work, kitchen, outdoor and more. Plus, with free, custom gift wrapping, DWR: Tools for Living is the area’s best bet for the ideal gift for anyone who is design obsessed. Robert Rodriguez runs the store with his friendly staff.

Los Angeles Metro Bus lines: 4, 704 Santa Monica Big Blue Bus lines: 1, 3, 7

Two-hour free parking is available at Lot 5 located just south of the store on 4th Street between Broadway and Santa Monica Blvd.

Honoring Arts & Architecture
Friday, November 14, 7–9pm

Join DWR and Metropolis magazine in celebrating launch of Taschen’s limited-edition 10-box set, Arts & Architecture, 1945–54: The Complete Reprint. The journal helped establish the careers of Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames and Richard Neutra, among many others and initiated the Case Study House Program. David F. Travers, A&A’s editor from 1963 to 1967, compared the seminal journal to “sunshine on West Coast architects who grew and flourished under its rays.”
We’ll welcome the journal’s legendary architectural photographer Julius Shulman, to the Santa Monica Studio on November 14. Mr. Shulman will give a brief presentation about his work with Arts & Architecture.

RSVP to TFLSantaMonicaEvents@dwr.com by November 12.
