ABOUT THE STUDIO

Our Pearl District Studio is located in the award-winning Wieden + Kennedy building. Constructed in 1914, this former cold-storage warehouse has since been masterfully reworked into a stunning, open-air, multitiered modern space by local architect Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works Architecture. Studio Proprietor Stacy Day oversees the Studio's extensive display of product along with her knowledgeable and friendly staff. Surrounding the Studio is a neighborhood rich with galleries, lofts, restaurants and design firms, offering residents and visitors a lively, mixed-use quarter. DWR is proud to be a member of the nonprofit organization Restore Oregon.

DWR STUDIO EVENT

Fundraiser: Wright this Way Friday, March 20, 5–7:30pm

DWR is pleased to host the third annual Wright this Way fundraiser – a special event to support the Gordon House, a classic example of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Usonian architecture that was built in 1963. The event ($25; free for students), will include a presentation from Kevin Nute, professor of architecture at the University of Oregon, entitled “Frank Lloyd Wright: Japanese Art as a Means to Organic Architecture,” exploring Japanese influence in Wright’s work. Proceeds from the evening, including sales of Nute’s book, Frank Lloyd Wright and Japan, will go toward the preservation of the Gordon House, the only Wright building in the Northwest that’s open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Join like-minded colleagues and architecture enthusiasts for an evening of conversation, Japanese music, sake, wine and cheese.

$25 per person ($250 for groups of 12); free for students with ID. To buy tickets, visit the Gordon House website or call 503.874.6006.
