ABOUT THE STUDIO

Our Santa Monica Studio, LA’s first, is located one block from the bustling Third Street Promenade in a vintage 1930s brick building. The newly expanded and remodeled space is flooded with beautiful, natural California light and provides a great view of the lively street scene. The Studio colorfully displays more products, both new and classic, with an extended chair wall, a Design Notes board and more. Music and midcentury furniture enthusiast Michael Brown runs the Studio along with his skillful and professional team.

Parking is available at Lot 5, located just south of the store on Fourth Street between Broadway and Santa Monica Boulevard.

Enjoy a screening of the films of Charles and Ray Eames.

Taking a multidisciplinary approach to design long before that was the norm, the Eameses created over 100 short films between 1950 and 1982. Ranging from one to 30 minutes in length, they cover topics from toy tops to the world of Franklin and Jefferson, from simple sea creatures to the explanation of advanced mathematical and scientific concepts. Come by to check out a screening of several of them and enjoy movie-appropriate snacks and drinks.
