Design the Modern Board: 2010 Competition

Calling all designer-boarders: Want to see your very own design on a powder-ready snowboard? DWR Seattle Studio invites you to participate in our 2nd annual Design the Modern Board competition, sponsored by K2 Snowboards and benefiting SOS Outreach. 

Graphic designers – both established and aspiring – throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond will be submitting their original modern snowboard designs. The designs will be unveiled to the public for a final vote at the Studio on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 6pm.  The winner gets to take home his or her graphic produced on a one-off snowboard by K2 Snowboards (www.k2snowboarding.com).

Check out the board template and art guidelines, then email your name, company name (if applicable) and Intent to Submit to seattle@dwr.com no later than March 19, 2010. SOS Outreach and DWR logos must be incorporated into your design.

Even if you’re not a designer or even a boarder, you won’t want to miss the judging event Saturday, April 3 at 6pm. Chill and enjoy the night with tasty treats, a great raffle and DJ. Your suggested $12 cash donation will benefit SOS Outreach (www.sosoutreach.org), a nonprofit organization that helps at-risk kids get out on the slopes. RSVP to seattle@dwr.com.
