Description

Architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was the director of the Bauhaus until it closed in 1933, and it was during that tenure that he designed some of his most notable furniture. Exhibiting an unerring sense of proportion, as well as minimalist forms and exquisitely refined details, his table and chairs have been called “architecture in miniature.” The Barcelona Table (1930) was originally created for the Mies-designed Villa Tugendhat in Brno, Czech Republic, and it is often paired with the Barcelona Chair for their stylistic parallels. Absolute in its elegance, the seamless, single-piece construction of the base ensures precision and durability. The polished chrome frame is stamped with the KnollStudio logo and the designer’s signature. This is the authentic Barcelona Table manufactured by Knoll according to the original and exacting specifications of the designer. The Barcelona Table must ship with our White Glove delivery service. Glass top made in U.S.A.; base made in Italy.
