Borrowing its name from the plant that inspired it, the Heracleum Pendant (2012) consists of LEDs embedded in leaf-shaped polycarbonate lenses attached to delicate metal stems to create a natural-looking form. Each lens rotates freely on its stem, allowing for an infinite number of possible configurations. Heracleum is the work of Dutch designer Bertjan Pot, who begins every new project by researching materials, experimenting with functionality and working with manufacturers to push boundaries. The technology that makes this lamp possible is the Electrosandwich®, a conductive layer design devised by Moooi co-founder Marcel Wanders, designed to provide warm white lighting. Bulbs (included): 45 LEDs, 10W max in small; 63 LEDs, 14W max in large. UL Listed. Heracleum is included in the collection of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Made in the Netherlands.
