Whether something is modern for 80 years or modern beyond its years, the date when it was made is not as relevant as how and why it was designed. The Murano Chandelier (1920) is made with a glass-forging technique developed to amplify flickering candlelight in the 17th century. Produced on the island of Murano, it represents the grandeur of centuries-old craftsmanship. Dramatic in its scale, color and delicate filigree, the design is a reproduction of a Venetian-style chandelier, with scrolling leaf and flower motifs. Due to the artisan craftsmanship that goes into each chandelier, some of the joints will show clear pieces of glass. This is not a defect but part of the process that insures no two pieces will be exactly the same. UL Listed. Bulbs (not included): incandescent 40W/120V/E12/torpedo. Made in Italy.
