Visit a traditional Finnish woodstove sauna and you'll find large bars of musky soup, used to bathe after a purifying period in the sauna. Saipua Soap (the name is derived from saippua with two p's which means "soap" in Finnish) is reminiscent of these scented bars. These 8oz bars of soap are crafted in small batches from food-grade vegetable oils and butters, then hand cut and air dried. The Soap is available in two scents derived from essential oil blends: Vetiver/birch has notes of wood smoke and fir, while geranium/basil combines the smell of licorice and citrus with green clay added for astringency. They come packaged in hand-stamped white craft paper that's tied with twine.
