The Studio North Design Trays (2002) can be used in the kitchen or dining room as a platform or serving tool for all manner of objects. The set of two nest together for compact storage and the deep-set handles offer ease of carrying. Like all Studio North Design products, the Trays are crafted from an often overlooked material: forest-salvaged, old-growth Douglas fir. A straight-grained, amber-colored wood, it’s acquired through forest salvage logging, where skilled sawyers mine usable wood out of logs that have long since fallen in the forests of the Pacific Coast.
