Standing only four inches tall, the small-scale, portable Avani Fireplace (2010) fills a hole in the marketplace and is a simple way to add fire to any setting. Place it in your existing masonry hearth as a traditional log or gas fire, or use it as a standalone feature. For fuel, it uses denatured alcohol (also known as bioethanol), a wholly renewable source of energy that is made from agricultural products such as sugar, potatoes, beetroot and corn, to name a few. Denatured alcohol can be found in local hardware stores. The Avani is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. A refillable butane lighter is included. Made in China.
