Few lamps mix elements of traditional and industrial design with the grace and impeccable styling of Enrico Franzolini's Gilda Collection (1997). Designed with an oversized jute shade, the lamp resolves in a reed-thin telescoping spine that expands and contracts from 36 to 60 inches. This stand culminates in a flared tripod base that is solidly crafted of die-cast aluminum. With its epic proportions, the shade allows light from the bulb to glow warmly across a far broader surface than a traditional lamp allows, and the amount of light can be adjusted with a foot controlled dimmer.
