The Zola Collection (2008) has a simple and clean aesthetic that suggests the influence of Eastern minimalism. The visual lightness is achieved by lifting the Zola Bed higher off the floor than standard platform beds: 9" legs raise it to almost 11" high (the bed also comes with a set of 6" legs for a more traditional platform height). The slim headboard is gently shaped to provide a comfortable angle to lean against when reading or watching TV, and the rounded corners eliminate sharp edges, both physically and aesthetically. The slats of the bed are made from high-quality ash wood, and they lie flat across the entire width of the bed to ensure ample air circulation for your mattress (this is crucial for memory foam). To save on packing materials, the platform ships flat and simple assembly is required. Made in Malaysia.
