Graduating in 2002 from Eina, Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art de Barcelona, Antoni Pallejà went on to serve as an industrial designer for several studios, became creative director of the furniture brand ABR and founded design consultancy Aloymas. Today, he teaches at Eina and runs Antoni Pallejà Office, or A.P.O., with Júlia Polbach, who previously worked with multiple agencies and studios before partnering with Pallejà. Under the direction of Pallejà and Polbach, Barcelona-based A.P.O. seeks clarity and versatility in its designs, focusing on exploration of material possibilities. The Bola Service Table (2013) embodies their core values with its clever two-in-one design – this standard-size pingpong table doubles as a large dining table thanks to its removable net. Translation: It’s finally OK to play with your food. Appropriate for use both indoors and out, it also features a hidden drawer for stashing the net, balls and paddles just as easily as a tablecloth and napkins. Includes two paddles and six balls. Made in Spain.
Steel frame and hidden drawer with painted finish; compact high-pressure laminate tabletop; iroko wood legs; high-strength polyester net.
