Fueled by a passion to return Danish design to its innovative greatness of the 1950s and ’60s, the husband-and-wife team of Mette and Rolf Hay established their own collective Hay in 2002. Since then, they’ve accrued numerous awards for their work, including a 2012 Bo Bedre Award for today’s brightest stars in Danish design. Hay has collaborated with established designers like Scholten & Baijings and also nurtured emerging talent, producing a range of lively pieces. Playing with form and color, Hay’s clever Box Box Large (2011) consists of several cardboard nesting boxes available in different sizes and hues. These fun boxes serve as decorative, protective homes for your precious untouchables or hideaways for less attractive necessities.
