Malm Fireplace
Malm Fireplace
Located in Sonoma County, California, Malm started as a sheet metal manufacturer in the 1950s, and some of the original employees dabbled in making fireplaces on the weekends. From weekend hobby to a full-fledged business, Malm was one of the original manufacturers of freestanding fireplaces, and is the only one still in existence today. Since the mid-20th century these fireplaces have been used in iconic modern spaces worldwide. The Malm Fireplace can be used indoors or out, and comes with a three-piece flue for ceilings up to eight feet. (Additional flue pieces are available for taller ceilings.) The advantage of a freestanding fireplace is that it heats up and radiates more efficiently. And unlike traditional wood-burning stoves, the Malm Fireplace gives you a clear view of the fire from a variety of angles.
