A sleek storage solution for small spaces, the Cutter Coatrack (2009) is designed for rooms where deeper storage is impossible due to space constraints. Available in two sizes (five or seven hooks), the Coatrack is an elegant, simple and functional piece that you’ll find multiple uses for in the entryway, bathroom, kitchen, mud room, bedroom, playroom and so on. The solid teak base creates a notable backdrop to the functional stainless steel hooks. Like all unfinished teak, the Cutter Coatrack will patina to a rich, silvery color over time, or can be treated with teak oil to maintain its original luster. Niels Hvass originally designed the Cutter Collection for Danish wood purveyors Skagerak as a garden collection, but the elements were so versatile, he expanded the assortment to include indoor accessories as well. Distinctly Scandinavian in style and sensibility, Hvass was part of the Danish design revival of the 1990s. He sees design as “a strategy that can improve the conditions of human life, the environment and experiences.” Made in Thailand.
The slatted design delivers maximum storage: hang a coat hanger between the boards to store larger items like clothing, and smaller items on the hooks in front.
