A three-legged solid oak base is constructed for maximum stability, with each leg cut on the diagonal and slanting outward for equal weight distribution and balance. Steel bracing takes the brunt of any torsional stresses applied to the table and firmly secures the base. The durable laminate tabletop is a smooth, low-maintenance surface for working or dining, and comfortably accommodates four people. A band of oak runs the perimeter of the tabletop for a unified profile. Originally designed for the University of Paris, it is an appropriate choice for a caf;, restaurant or residential setting.
