In a word, DWR Percale Bedding (2011) is lussuoso (Italian for “luxurious”). To create it, we teamed up with Judy White, who’s designed tableware and giftware for the likes of Calvin Klein. Inspired by the composition of the Case Study Houses, White chose colors for the collection that represent raw building materials such as stucco, steel and glass, resulting in a set of building blocks that make it easy and fun for you to create your modern bed. Composed of the finest materials, this duvet cover has the invigorating feel of 210-thread-count Egyptian long-staple cotton percale, with a simple pearl edge stitch finishing the edges and discreet snaps that close with a satisfying click. Duvet not included. Machine washable. Made in Italy.
Percale has a 210-thread-count weave with a crisp feel and matte finish. It’s thinner, lighter and more breathable than sateen – crucial for staying comfortable during hot summer months.
Judy White's passion for design comes from a love of exploring and adventure. Whether she's working on bedding, tableware, lighting, textiles or travel accessories, she's driven by the discovery of solutions that lead to the realization of new products. Based in New York, White has international design experience in all aspects of home furnishings. She trained as an industrial designer, studied the fine arts and has an expertise in art history, but the greatest gift to her career was the time she spent working as a product designer in Japan. Surrounded by a culture "where a refined aesthetic and great design are exhibited in all aspects of everyday life was a defining point in my career," explains the designer. Read more >
