Italian designers Tobia and Afra Scarpa started their careers working with glass in Murano in 1958. As their reputation for innovative design grew, they received commissions for products from Knoll®, Cassina and other notable manufacturers, as well as architecture and interior design projects for companies like Benetton. In 1960, they began working with Achille Castiglioni as lighting designers for Flos, and it was during that time that they designed their Foglio Wall Lamp (1966). This sleek steel composition wraps around the bulbs like a folio of paper, resulting in a combination of direct and indirect lighting from a light source that’s nicely concealed. Tobia and Afra Scarpa have won many awards including the Compasso d’Oro, and their work is included in the permanent collections of museums worldwide. Bulbs (2): 100W/120V/A19 Medium.
