Comprising 123 hand-blown Murano glass rings, the Giogali Chandelier (1967) is an exquisite and instantly recognizable classic of modern lighting. It was designed by renowned architect Angelo Mangiarotti for Vistosi – a family-run business, whose glass-making heritage dates back to the 16th century, but was lost for generations. In 1945, the company was revived by Guglielmo Vistosi, whose connection to avant-garde artists took the family business in a new direction. They began commissioning pieces by top designers like Mangiarotti, Vico Magistretti and Ettore Sottsass, a legacy that endures today.
Comes with 123 Murano glass rings, which can be hung in any configuration. (A set of 10 additional pieces can be purchased separately.)
The glass’ quality maximizes light intensity and creates dramatic refractions of light on surrounding surfaces.
