A functional product with a big personality, Hug (2009) is a comfortable chair designed by Marc Sadler. It’s made with long-lasting materials and finishes, including a white polyethylene base and durable fabric that’s UV resistant and highly water repellent. While it might resemble a large pouf, the way in which the cushion is attached to the base actually creates support for the spine and offers a comfortable seating position. This special attachment perhaps evolved from Sadler’s work in plastic ski boots. He patented a ski boot with a symmetric shell system, which was popular with skiers worldwide and made Sadler an international name in industrial design. Made in Italy.
