The Kubrick Armchair (2009) is an elegant, sporty design that adapts easily to any type of environment thanks to the contrast produced by its classic lines and the diversity of materials used. Designer Marc Sadler has devoted his career to the development of new materials and production processes – particularly in plastics, which was the subject of his degree thesis at Ècole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In the 1970s, Sadler designed a ski boot in thermoplastic material, which led to his patented ski boot with symmetric shell system. Taking what he learned from the sports industry, Sadler’s career has grown to include other areas, from furniture to motor-scooters. He describes his style as “technologicalness” and when asked what he’d like to design next, Sadler replied, “something for a car manufacturer.” Made in Italy.
