Lexon Ruler
Lexon Ruler
Those who grab for their ruler often know that fumbling to pick one up from a flat desktop surface can be an exercise in patience, or a comedy routine, depending on your optimistic leanings. Designer René Adda came up with a solution to this frustrating task with the Lexon Ruler (2004). The Ruler has a subtle lip on its lower edge that serves a dual purpose. It gives the Ruler more height on one side so it’s easier to get your fingertips under it to lift it, and the lip allows the user to register the length of the Ruler against the desk edge and bring other documents and objects to it. The increment markings are in metric and imperial, and the aluminum has a satisfying weightiness that helps hold drawings and documents in place while measuring them. Made in U.S.A.
