Designed in 1981, the simple, spherical shape of the Lucciola Floor Lamp has been frequently imitated. The original was designed and introduced by Vistosi – a family-run business, whose glass-making heritage dates back to the 16th century, but was lost for generations. In 1945, the company was revived by Guglielmo Vistosi, whose connection to avant-garde artists took the family business in a new direction. They began commissioning pieces by top designers like Vico Magistretti, Angelo Mangiarotti and Ettore Sottsass, a legacy that endures today.
