The Luau Portable Lamp (2006) makes standard table lamps look so, well, stationary. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, Luau is a lighting solution that delivers dimmable light without being tethered to an electrical socket.

When Luau is lifted from its base, the lamp automatically lights and the glow lasts for six to 10 hours. Increase or decrease the amount of light by spinning the lamp with the bottom against your palm. At its brightest setting, Luau delivers warm ambient light, and can be placed on a surface or hung from a hook or tree branch on its stainless steel handle. Made out of impact-resistant polyethylene with a water resistant housing, it uses energy-efficient LEDs. It comes complete with an LED pack and a rechargeable 1500mAh battery. The lamp can be used while recharging, and the base has an indicator light that changes from red to green when Luau is fully charged.
