“Design for me means creating products that over the years will acquire classic status, becoming part of our surroundings,” said Joan Casas i Ortinez, the Spanish designer of the Lucca Collection (2003). Casas i Ortinez spent 49 years designing at Indecasa, an outdoor furniture company in Barcelona, eventually leading the creative team. Lucca pieces, designed with luxury hotels and cruise ships in mind, have frames constructed of corrosion-resistant aluminum and seating surfaces made of Textilene, an innovative mold- and UV-resistant mesh fabric that permits free air circulation for comfort. The chaise has a five-stage adjustable seat back that fully supports your upper body and large rubber wheels that permit easy portage on concrete, grass and gravel. Suitable for residential and commercial use. Each piece ships flat to save on packing materials; simple assembly required. Made in Spain.
Powder-coated or polished anodized aluminum frame; Textilene® mesh; cast-aluminum and stainless steel hardware.
