"Design for me means creating products that over the years will acquire classic status, becoming part of our surroundings," says Joan Casas i Ortinez, the Spanish designer of the Lucca Collection (2003). As the head of the creative team at Barcelona-based outdoor furniture company Indecasa, he's spent the last 30 years designing the next generation of classic modern café and outdoor leisure furniture. The Lucca Dining Table, which he created with luxury hotels and cruise ships in mind, is cleanly fabricated with a corrosion-resistant aluminum frame and laminate top. A hole in the center of the table is designed to hold an umbrella. Ships flat to save on packing materials; simple assembly required. Made in Spain.
A 24" round umbrella stand will fit within the leg configuration of this table.
