Distilling the concept of a hand mirror down to its essential elements, the Mirror Mirror (2011) takes some of the vanity out of this eminently useful, often overlooked grooming tool. The Mirror Mirror is comprised of two geometric shapes – a square and rectangle – as well as two minimalist materials: metal and glass. The result is as sculptural as it is functional. The Mirror Mirror was created by Hay, a Danish design collective whose ambition is “to encourage Danish furniture design’s return to the innovative greatness of the 1950s and 1960s, but in a contemporary context.” Made in China.
