The Chair’s frame is made from sustainable teak, harvested from plantations managed by the Ministry of Forestry for the Indonesian government. This teak is taken from the inner part of the tree’s trunk, where the wood is rich in oils and devoid of knots. Like all teak, it will patina to a rich, silvery color over time, or can be treated with teak oil to maintain its original luster. WaProLace is a polyethylene fiber that has been specially tested to maintain its color and resist corrosion from chlorine, salt water or other outdoor elements. This 100% recyclable material is nontoxic and can withstand temperatures from -94°F–176°F
