Marcus Kirby launched Future Maps in 2003, an effort to combine his passion for geography with his love of graphic design. The result is a cartography collection with enough visual impact to complement modern residential or office spaces. Part reference tool, part art piece, they are created using “cylindrical equal area projection,” which means the countries are represented in their correct proportional size. Printed on silk-finished paper, special attention was paid to the color palette – each size features a different set of hues. The magnetic versions come with stainless steel magnets. Made in U.K.
