Combining minimalism with what may be described as “baroque modern,” the Timavo Table spans centuries of tradition and seven feet of space. Its poetic form is the work of Giorgio Maria Borgato, designer of Italian villas, grand European gardens and fashion accessories. The design's balance of austerity and romance is most evident in the solid oak cabriole legs and broad undecorated planes. These details, as well as the table's balanced proportions, solid oak apron and seamless joinery, convey the rigor and planning of numerous prototypes produced in Borgato's own wood working studio, and later, final production by skilled artisans. Dramatic in scale and in character, the Timavo is best enjoyed in a large space with a convivial atmosphere. Seats up to 10 people. Made in Italy.
