With metal cradling every curve, the Silver Collection Armchair (1999) features smooth teak and durable aluminum. Note the artful construction of this collection: the way the teak armrests are inserted into the cast aluminum frame and how the metal casting cradles the curve of each wooden slat. The lack of ornamentation furthers the simplicity and purity of form. The Armchair has wide comfortable armrests and a shaped seat and back. These commercial quality pieces are crafted out of teak that's kiln-dried and left unfinished for a low-maintenance, moisture resistant surface that will patina into a silvery color over time. The wood Caldwell uses is harvested from managed plantations in order to promote the renewal of this valuable resource.
