The proportions of the Reid Sofa Collection are just what we were hoping for when we started working with Jeffrey Bernett and Nicholas Dodziuk on this project. Created exclusively for DWR, the result is equally satisfying for Bernett, specifically in how the whole collection “reflects a state of casualness.” Not just for sitting, these pieces are for downtime spent napping, watching movies or surfing on a laptop. The seat depths suit a variety of lounging positions and rather than sitting “on top” of the cushions, the experience is a pleasant “relaxed sit” provided by down- and feather-wrapped foam. In addition to wide armrests that offer support from elbow to wrist, the collection’s back cushions are filled with a soft blend of down and feathers. The cotton and rayon upholstery is an overscaled basket weave, which gives a subtle dimensional aspect to the surface. Domestically made from top to bottom, Reid’s components won’t have to travel too far to reach your living room. Made in U.S.A.
