Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings established Scholten & Baijings, Studio for Design, in 2000. In their work, they play with grids, light effects, color, transparency and layered patterns – and they've gained international recognition for how they combine soft pastels and bright fluorescent colors. To create the patterns for their woven Tea Towels (2010), they always begin by sketching, and computers are used only at the final phases of the design process. These woven towels feature beautiful graphic patterns in the designers' signature colorways, and each pair includes one neon version. Made in Turkey.
Each set includes two Tea Towels, one being neon. For example, Cold Forest includes a Blue towel and a Fluorescent Orange towel.
Materials
100% cotton base; fluorescent colors are polyester to obtain brightness and color fastness.
