The handcrafted Simpatico Collection (2010) delivers comfort and elegance in one exquisite package. Wonderfully simple and with barely a seam in sight, there's a gracefulness to the shape of these pieces. Upholstered with what's called waterfall tailoring, the cushions and frames are sewn with one continuous piece of fabric wrapping over the front, from top to bottom or side to side. The cushions are finished with a boxing strip around the sides and constructed without welting or visible stitches. It takes expertise and careful planning to upholster this way, but before you think Simpatico sounds too precious for everyday living, think again. Deep seats, wide armrests (a magnificent perch for your laptop) and down-blend throw pillows make Simpatico a great place to hang out. Adjust the back cushions to find your perfect seat depth or stretch out for a comfortable nap. Made in U.S.A.
