Details
Marcel Wanders approaches life – and design – with a childlike sense of wonder and appreciation for the world he lives and works in. In that spirit, his Skygarden Lamp (2007) was inspired by the antique decorated plaster molding in his home, and the name is quite simply what he has designed – a small garden that’s revealed when you look up into the lamp. With its diffuser made of cast plaster, the Skygarden is truly an original in the world of modern lighting design. This Lamp was honored with a Red Dot Design Award. Bulb: 150W/120V/E27/HSGS. Made in Italy.

The founder of his own Amsterdam design studio, as well as co-founder of the brand Moooi, Dutch designer Marcel Wanders is known for his innovative approach. In 2011, The New York Times called him the “Lady Gaga of Design” for being unconventional, creative, and energetic.
