Designer Marcel Wanders says the role model for his Zeppelin S1 (2005) was Achille Castiglioni who designed his own cocoon lamps in 1960. Wanders' mission statement includes the line "live with passion," and one can see that this designer, who went big when the rest of the lighting industry was going small, is passionate about what he does. The structure is wrapped in spray-on resin that stretches over the shapes of chandelier arms and candles underneath. Bulb (included): Incandescent max 240W/E26 base / type A23. Made in Italy by Flos.
