There’s an honest simplicity to Sekine’s work, which is also reflected in how the Fog Linen Collection began. When Sekine had her first small apartment, she decided to make a few things, like an apron and a cover for her teapot. When she moved to a larger apartment, she needed kitchen cloths and pot holders. Basically, every time Sekine moved to a larger space, her Fog Linen Collection grew, adapting to fit her household needs.

The looped linen texture naturally exfoliates.

Japanese designer Yumiko Sekine uses raw linen from Lithuania to create the Fog Linen Waffle Towels (2002), which get softer with age and become even more absorbent with each washing. To create this product, Sekine brought an example of a waffle towel in cotton to her sewers in Lithuania. Through various experiments, they were able to successfully create the waffle texture Sekine desired in linen. With neatly squared corners and basic, functional shapes, there’s an honest simplicity to Sekine’s work, which is also reflected in how the Fog Linen Collection began. When Sekine had her first small apartment, she decided to make herself a few things, like an apron and a cover for her teapot. When she moved to a larger apartment, she needed a few more things, like a kitchen cloth and pot holder. Basically, every time Sekine moved to a larger space, her Fog Linen Collection grew, adapting to fit her household needs. The name and size of each item is stamped directly on the product (this stamp washes away over time).

The Vipp story began in 1938 when Holger Nielsen designed and manufactured a garbage bin for his wife’s hair salon. Nielsen’s keen sense of aesthetics and quality were quickly recognized and requests for these eminently useful Bins began pouring in. Since then, the business has expanded to include a wide assortment of equally well-designed items for the home and bath. The Towel Set (2004) includes six luxuriously soft towels of three different sizes, which are crafted from a mix of cotton and bamboo fibers.

Each towel has a handy silicone tag that allows it to be hung to dry.

Luxurious bamboo and cotton blend dries quickly and its antimicrobial
properties resist mildew.

The set includes two small, two medium and two large towels.

In exclusive partnership with Vipp, enjoy a special, limited-time price on the Towel Set, which is available only at DWR.

When not operating their ski lift, four generations of the Steiner family have been spinning, weaving, milling and refining fine woolen cloth at the foot of the Dachstein mountain in the Austrian Alps. Legendary designers Yves St. Laurent, Bogner, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and others have used the high-quality fabrics for their fashions. Snuggle up to a little bit of Alpine heritage with this 1.8 liter Hot Water Bottle tucked in a soft merino and alpaca wool cover in winter white. Machine washable. Made in Austria.
