Distilling the concept of a chandelier down to a single queue of exquisitely cut Swarovski® crystal pendants, the Cellula is dramatic without being fussy or overbearing. The design refracts the light of nine bulbs through numerous shapes and sizes of full leaded, faceted crystal. Over a century old, Swarovski is the leader in precision-cut crystal, which has a much higher refractive index than standard glass, resulting in a more sparkling illumination. The quality of light is bright and warm, with no glare, appropriate for lighting an entryway, dining table or counter space. The crystals can be arranged as desired, simply by shifting them from groove to groove along the aluminum rod. The design is anchored by a clear cord, flanked by two thin steel cables. Bulbs (not included): 15W candelabra torpedo.

Produced on the island of Murano using traditional glass forging and blowing techniques, the Murano Glass Chandelier represents the grandeur of 800-year-old craftsmanship. Dramatic in its scale, color and delicate filigree, the design is a reproduction of a 17th-century Venetian-style chandelier, with scrolling leaf and flower motifs. The translucent red glass is luminous when lit, casting a warm glow appropriate to an entryway, dining room or bedroom. The intricacy and color of the chandelier is a fine counterpoint to the minimalism and material slickness of many modern spaces and provides an exquisite focal point. UL listed. Bulbs (not included): Incandescent 40W/120V/E12/Torpedo. Made in Italy.

Due to the artisan craftsmanship that goes into each chandelier, some of the joints will show clear pieces of glass. This is not a defect but part of the process that insures no two pieces will be exactly the same.

Poul Henningsen’s Snowball Pendant (1924) is as much about mathematics as it is about light. The shapes in this light are precisely aligned so that every surface receives a ray of light at exactly the same angle. These rays of light are then reflected, the degree of which is controlled by Henningsen’s careful placement of matte or glossy finish. The result is optimal and even distribution of light that’s completely without glare. While the form of the Snowball is surprisingly modern for 1924, Henningsen did not design this lamp to celebrate the new technology of the electric light bulb. Rather, his goal was to recreate a quality of light he’d experienced from petroleum lanterns, which were used in the small Danish town he grew up in because there was no electricity. As with all of Henningsen’s lighting, his aim was to “work scientifically and make lighting more beautiful.” UL Listed. Manufactured in Denmark by Louis Poulsen.

Having graced the halls of universities, restaurants and libraries in Europe for decades, the PH5 Pendant Lamp is one of Poul Henningsen's most recognizable lighting designs. Constructed by Louis Poulsen, the original manufacturer since 1958, the shade comprises layers of varying sizes and shapes that direct light both horizontally and vertically. To lend further warmth to the quality of light, Henningsen ingeniously applied primary red to the interior of the inside cone and blue to the smallest reflector to absorb both light spectrums. Striking in form, but compact enough to be used in multiples, it is a versatile design statement for residential and commercial spaces. UL-listed. Bulb (not included): 200W/120V A23 incandescent.
When designer Peter Bowles discovered a mold for an industrial-style light, he was inspired to recreate it, but for a more domestic setting. Although the designer of the original fixture (circa 1940) is unknown, Bowles was determined to stay true to its shape and quality, while also updating it in ways that are more eco-friendly. His factory is committed to its green practices, and in reducing the use of petrochemicals as much as they can. The lighting provided by the Titan Pendant (1995) is mostly downward focused, but there’s some up-lighting as well. A frosted diffuser allows you to enjoy the energy-savings of compact fluorescent bulbs without sacrificing the soft, warm ambient lighting you’re looking for. The Titan is UL listed and suitable for commercial spaces. Bulb (not included): compact florescent or incandescent 100W (max). Made in the U.K.

A versatile lighting solution, the Shade Pendant (2008) comes with threaded steel rods with a brushed nickel finish. Depending on how many rods you use, the Shade Pendant can hang as close as six inches or as far as 54 inches from the ceiling. The ivory-colored linen lampshade is dramatic in scale but traditional in shape, and this juxtaposition is not just for aesthetics.
Because of this lamp¹s size, you can light a broader area with the Shade Pendant than with a pendant of a standard size. Bulb (not included): compact florescent or 100W incandescent.

The Drop 1, defined by soft, elongated lines that give it the shape of a descending bead of liquid, focuses light gently downward. The translucent bone china allows light to sift through. This fixture is at home in virtually any environment and can be mixed or arrayed in multiples to create a dramatic interplay of light and form in clusters, over a counter or along a wall. Designed by the collective known as Norway Says, the pendant is sized to be mounted in clusters or rows over a dining table, hallway or anywhere you’d like to add a unique design element with an understated character. Norway Says designed the Mhy Pendant for Muuto, a cutting-edge Finnish design house that creates “objects made sublime through new perspectives.”

Using just glass and chrome to create its slender profile, the Enne Luci Suspension Lamp (2005) was designed by architects Michele Romani and Mauro Saccani for Vistosi. The Vistosi family’s glass-making heritage dates back to the 16th century, but was lost for generations. In 1945, the company was revived by Guglielmo Vistosi, whose connection to avant-garde artists took the family business in a new direction. They began commissioning pieces by top designers like Vico Magistretti, Angelo Mangiarotti and Ettore Sottsass, a legacy that endures today.

Hand-blown white glass diffuser is exceptionally thick and well made.

Compact size works over a small table or can be used in multiples over a larger space.

Chrome and glass construction give it all the makings of a modern classic.

UL listed. Bulb (not included): incandescent 100W/E9
