Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have worked together as joint partners at their own design firm since 1999 and have been collaborating with Vitra since 2000. While their work ranges from architectural projects to furniture, tableware and home accessories, the brothers’ primary focus is the design and organization of interior spaces. Following this framework they created Algues (2004), an unconventional design modeled after plant life that functions both as a decorative element and interior architecture. The plastic Algues link together to create web-like textures, ranging from light curtains to thick, opaque partitions that act as room dividers. Twenty-five Algues yield one square yard of mesh. Sold in packs of 25. Made in Germany.
