Tapio Anttila is a Finnish freelance designer and architect. After years as an in-house designer, Anttila established his own business, Tapio Anttila Design, in 2005. He focuses on producing practical pieces for the home and public spaces. Driven by simplicity, form and functionality – and a touch of subtle humor – he’s won several international design awards for his work. In fact, his Mixrack (2011) was the eco-design winner at the Habitare exhibition in Helsinki the year of its inception. This simple, straightforward configuration of powder-coated steel accommodates a surprising assortment of everyday items ranging from firewood to wine bottles to magazines. It’s also light and very easy to move where needed. Made in Finland.
