Details

Whether it’s for holding ice or chilling a bottle, the Bucky Ice Bucket (2005) is up to the task with its simple shape and durable, easy-to-clean stainless steel construction. Made for portability and convenience, it has a thin handle that folds out of the way when not in use. Bucky was designed by Aldo Cibic, one of the early members of Ettore Sottsass’ Memphis Group, a community of designers who produced postmodern furniture and objects in the 1980s. Made in Italy.

Aldo Cibic

Aldo Cibic developed an interest in the world of design early on. Born in 1955, he became a founding member of the Memphis movement in 1981 before striking out on his own as an innovator, artist, and professor. Today Cibic explores the dynamic relationship between people and space with Cibicworkshop, a design studio and research center working on projects that enhance community life.
