Details

After studying architecture at Gloucestershire College of Art, George Sowden moved to Milan to work with Ettore Sottsass and typewriter manufacturer Olivetti. In 1981, he became one of the founders of design collective Memphis Group, and in decades since he’s collaborated with the likes of Alessi, Swatch, and Pyrex. Made for grinding salt or pepper, the Sowden Grinder features a long-lasting steel housing and ceramic grinding mechanism that lets you adjust grind coarseness. Made in China.
