Details
Anderssen & Voll designed the Nunatak Candleholder (2015) as a spinoff from designing a restaurant interior in an 18th-century farm complex in Oslo, Norway. This piece features an expressive shape inspired by natural landscapes – “nunatak” is Norwegian for a mountain or hill surrounded by glacial ice. Derived from a sketch that was realized using a 3-D printer, Nunatak is constructed of solid cast iron for satisfying heft and stability. It’s functional yet sculptural, equally attractive when holding a lit candle or just standing on its own. Candles not included. Made in China.
