In the early 1960s, two decades after perfecting a method for molding plywood, the Eameses began to find more and more copies of their works in the wild. As part of their response to that undesired proliferation, the Eames Office created an ad for Herman Miller to educate the public about inferior knockoffs, which initially ran on the back cover of Arts & Architecture magazine. The Beware of Imitations Poster (1962) is a faithful reproduction of that original ad, two-color screen-printed onto acid-free archival paper. Handsomely finished in a white painted wood frame. Made in U.S.A.

Charles and Ray Eames

Design is for living. That maxim shaped a widespread shift in design during the 1940s and '50s. It was a revolution of form, an exciting visual language that signaled a new age and a fresh start – and two of its prime movers were Charles and Ray Eames. This husband-and-wife team's unique synergy led to a whole new look in furniture. Lean and modern. Sleek and simple. Beautifully functional.

The quality of the frame was extremely poor. The support staff at Herman Miller was amazing and quick to help return the picture. Thanks
